1. Check the label before washing
Before washing, check the care label on the inside of the hat. Some hats can be hand washed, while other materials require dry cleaning or special care.
2. Machine washing is not recommended
It is best not to put baseball caps in the washing machine, as the violent agitation can easily cause the cap to lose its shape, especially if it has a stiff front lining.
3. Hand washing is safer
Use warm water and a neutral detergent, and gently scrub any dirty areas.
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently brush the brim and inner band to remove sweat and dust.
Do not twist or twist the hat when rinsing to avoid damaging its shape.
4. Targeting stains
The inside of the brim and forehead are most susceptible to stains, so use a toothbrush with a small amount of laundry detergent to focus on the stains.
5. Drying method is crucial
Let it air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight, to prevent fading and warping.
Hang it up to dry: You can stuff a towel inside the hat or use a hat rack to maintain its shape.
