Have you ever encountered this problem? After washing, your cap collapses, loses its shape, and becomes unattractive. So, how should you wash a baseball cap to maintain its shape? Today, we'll explain simple methods.

1. Check the material of the baseball cap first.

Before washing, check the cap label:

Cotton/polyester: Hand washable and more durable.

Wool, leather, or caps with special embellishments: It's best to dry clean or spot clean them; avoid soaking the entire cap.

2. Hand washing is safer than machine washing.

It's best not to throw a baseball cap directly into the washing machine!

Reason: Machine washing can easily cause the brim to bend and collapse.

Correct method: Use warm water and mild detergent, gently scrubbing any dirty areas.

3. Don't bend the brim.

Most baseball caps have plastic or cardboard supports inside the brim. Excessive soaking or forceful bending can cause the brim to deform.

When cleaning, use a soft brush to gently scrub the brim; avoid rubbing it vigorously. If the brim of your hat is particularly dirty, wipe it with a damp cloth instead of soaking it in water.

4. Maintain its shape while drying.

Air-dry: After washing, pat dry with a dry towel and place the hat on a round support (such as a bowl or ball).

Don't use a dryer: High temperatures can shrink or deform the hat.

Don't expose it to direct sunlight: Direct sunlight can easily fade the color.
