The cleaning method of a beret depends mainly on its material. Different materials require different cleaning methods:
Leather beret: Leather berets cannot be washed in water. If they are not very dirty, you can wipe the surface dust with a slightly damp towel, and then use a dry towel or paper towel to absorb the moisture. If it is stained with rain, wipe it dry immediately to prevent mold. It is best to use a polish to protect the leather and make it more shiny.
Cashmere beret: Cashmere materials are easy to shrink, so it is not recommended to wash with water. It should be sent to a professional dry cleaner for cleaning. If you must wash with water, it may damage the hat, so it is recommended to avoid it.
Wool beret: Woolen materials are easy to shrink and deform after washing, so it is also recommended to send it to a professional dry cleaner for cleaning. If it is not too dirty, you can gently wipe the stains with a wet towel.
Wool beret: Woolen hats can be washed with water. Prepare warm water, neutral detergent and towels, soak the hat for 5 minutes, gently rub it, rinse it with clean water, and then use a towel to absorb moisture.
